My own theory, just formulated is that when Elvis decided on a Las Vegas comeback "The Mad Coonel" knew he had formidable competition in the form of
recent popular imports from the second English invasion then playing in Vegas:-
EngleDick Humperbert
and Ron's little brother Tom
not to mention old hands like Liver Ache
and that therefore Parker dressed Elvis in ridiculous costumes in a successful attempt to make Elvis stand out
As for Elvis's EMR there are a few alternative videos to the Aloha 1973 recording
