I know that Harmony is his newest CD but is he working on another new project at all? does anyone know whether he is still recording today? I know he tours a lot but wouldn't it be great like so many other country artists if he made a CD with duets? That would be awesome!!! If Willie Nelson and Gord were to record together I wonder what songs they would sing but I think that might be a great idea and one to really look forward to! Maybe someone can talk him into doing something with Willie or other artists and I know it could be a great album indeed! What do you all think?

Forget about that last post please I was so upset at the fact that someone would call me ungreatful and rude for a silly little thing. Anyway let's stick to Gord and forget about the angry post I made earlier please.

Oops immediately after I had posted my reply with the "Duet's" pictures I returned to the MSN Messenger chat I was having with Maheen and realised to my chagrin that fantastic though the JAWS text reader that he and the other visually impaired fan here (Matthew Bullis) both use it cannot read the text hidden in a graphic therefore I must reproduce the great list of Duet titles and partners that Jimmy came up with as plain readable text
the double album he entitled
"Nous Vivons Ensemble-We've Got To Stay Together" (subtitled-"The Ultimate Collection Of Gordon Lightfoot Duets" and showed a manipulated picture of our Gord with the late Parti Quebecois
http://www.uni.ca/pq.html
(separatist) founder Rene Levesque
Please note that is "quebecois" as in Kay-beck-wah
and "levesque" as in lev-eck
quite why the "pepsis" (apologies to any French Canadian fans reading this) thought they could be better off as a separate nation was beyond my comprehension, As is/was their unwavering requirement for everything to be bilingual or non English language which necessitates absurdities like Aeroport-Montreal-Airport.
I am reminded that in the whole of Kaybeck one has to halt at a sign that uncompromisingly insists that you "arret" yet the French in France are apparently quite content to read "Stop".Also I was one year amazed to realise while skiing in Bulgaria (which has an entirely different (cyrillic) alphabet they are also happy to use the good old Anglo-saxon four-letter word "stop" on all their halt signs

found on a site of Bulgarian pix using google image search
Sorry I have digressed on a pet hobby horse, and my project to transcribe the track titles must wait a while
John Fowles
P.S are the separatists still active?
Have you ever seen a horseful carriage or a strapful gown??

first, Wayne Francis give monthly updates at www.lightfoot.ca that will tell you what Gord is apprently up to re: recording or touring etc, hope that helps (then again, you'd probably find that out here first! lol)

john:
- a tall basketball player who scored 100 points in a game once, and according to his book scored several thousand women (20,000?) when he wasn't/was playing ball

- sorry to alienate with the next two, but the next guy is our provinical Liberal leader who got elected recently...i don't know if he's actually done anything that he said he would do yet, except get elected...but i've lost touch with politics lately, i just read the comics

- the captain our our Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team for several years now...i thought last year was our year to finally win the Stanley Cup (the first one since i was 5 years old) but the dream died

- i didn't come up with the Papa Smurf one but i believe he's blue in colour...but i do know that Barney is purple (and not lavender)

- a former medal winning, good looking American diver

- a former medal winning, good looking American figure skater

- the grey haired host of the Price Is Right

ok, who's Bob Dole and what's up with that?

Bob Dole is a nice American politician who ran for president once. A wounded and decorated WWII veteran. More recently, as the songs reference, known for a funny Viagra commercial.

welcome to the Forum d/b (at first I assumed that you might be yet another ex-convict Australian but your profile revealed that you are in Buffalo NY. Were you at Hamilton??
there are a few other Lightfoot fans near you most notably Harold Christie in Tonawanda and Gerard Connors in your city.
