It was Massey Hall in the cold part of the spring. GL was sold out for a full week. With spring came anticipation of warmer weather, another season of hope, and a GL concert.
We had third row seats, center aisle. He sang all the "stand bys" with some of these thrown in, "It's Worth Believn", "Same Old Obsession", "Farewell To Nova Scotia", "Hiway Songs", "Farewell To Annabell", and a few more of my favorites.
We were invited back stage after the show, talked about life, love, songwriting, all washed down with more than a couple of ice cold beers.
The evening went by way too fast.....but I can replay it whenever I want because it was just a Christmas Wish.

Merry Christmas to everyone, Happy Holidays and thank you again Florian for this site!!!
God Bless You,
Wes Steele......

Ha! You had me going there Wes right up until you said Christmas Wish!! Well that certainly is a Christmas Wish and I hope it comes true for you and your wife one day. Until then I hope you and everyone else here has a great Christmas!!

---------------------------------------------------------------
The lamp is burnin' low upon my table top
The snow is softly fallin'
The air is still within the silence of my room
I hear your voice softly callin'

Wes - just read your Dec 23 post (I know I'm a bit slow) and it brought tears to my eyes.
I hope your Christmas and New Year was as
wonderful as your Christmas wish.
