Just read that there will be two new Jim Croce CD's released on Oct.14, 2003. Some new songs on both of them. They will be released one month past the 30th anniversary of his death. Just doesn't seem to be 30 years ago. I even remember where I was when I heard about it.
Me, too, Brink. I was a student in grad school. He's one of those songwriters you wonder "what if" about; he was just beginning to break when he died. Helluva loss.
When Jim Croce left,I was just a few months into Kindergarten. I didn't know he wasn't here until about 1982. I forget how I found out but I know it was about that time. I feel bad just the same because I know he had more to him than just what he put out while he was just beginning. At least we have that.
