As many of you already know, we are planning an event in Saratoga Springs on
April 25th and 26th. Ed Mullen, Derek Kidd, Matt Carl and myself are getting
together to do two benefit concerts for Caffe Lena, the oldest continuously
running folk cafe in the U.S., (and the place where American Pie was
debuted). For those of you not familiar with the venue, here's their link: http://www.caffelena.com/
The theme of the first concert will be: Great Singer/Songwriters. The second
will be a Gordon Lightfoot tribute concert.
With it looking more and more like the Massey Hall concerts will not happen
this year, it would be a great substitute event, and a rare chance for many
of us to get together. We already have several people, from all across the
U.S and a few in Canada who have made plans to attend the event. If anyone
here is interested, you can read about our Lightfoot tribute band at http://mageenet.org/LightfootTributeBand/

If you are even considering attending the event, please join our mailing
list so you'll get updated info. If you think you may attend and would like
to be included in any activities we schedule, sign up for the mailing list
at http://mageenet.net/lenaconcertform.html

If you are definitely planning on coming, you should check the definite box.
Otherwise, you can update it if you decide to come later. Additional fields
will be added to the form when other activities are planned, possibly a
Saturday afternoon party. The advantage to filling out this form is that all
information will be in one place, and not scattered throughout a bunch of
e-mails. It will make planning the event much easier.
If you have questions about the event, or about the Saratoga Springs, e-mail
Val at vlmagee@mageenet.net.
Hope to see you there!

I sure wish I could go but I can't afford a car. I can't even imagine how I could get to Saratoga on my budget. Guess I'll have to settle for reading about it here.

Where do you live? You should see if you can carpool with someone.
