Tacoma concert

Exceptional concert! 1hour 40 min, no break, sold out casino concert. Unlike the last show I saw 2 yrs ago, his voice was solid from the very beginning. He seemed to have a good time telling stories and the crowd was very appreciative. loud during his mega hits. All of his songs are hits to me. And yes he had the red jacket for tonights show.

I had not seen Lightfoot since about 1993 or something, in Seattle. Not sure I agree with Gord Fan that his voice was "solid", but the crowd was definitely in his corner the whole night. "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" was powerful. I think his voice got a little better as the night wore on. If he was getting tired by the end, it certainly didn't show --- if anything, he drew energy from the crowd and seemed to be enjoying himself, saying at one point, "We do love the work!". I posted a review on TicketMaster ("Ticket Bastard", as my friend Don calls them), which they deemed worthy of publication.

He did a fair number of his "newer" songs, which I thought were carefully selected and mostly worked well. I enjoyed "A Painter Passing Through" and some others. I've been a fan ever since I heard Ian & Sylvia do "Early Morning Rain". Have about 90 percent of his albums. One of my absolute favorites is "Tatoo", which nobody ever mentions.

Glad you had a great time at the concert. Gordon's stage presence has changed over the years. The first couple of times I saw him in 1982 & 1983, he did very little on stage banter. Basically it was Good Evening, band intros and Thank you at the end of the concert. We all agree that Gordon and the guys really appreciate their fans and their fans really love Gordon and the guys.
Tattoo is a great song and it has been mentioned here more than once. Do a search for
Salute and Tattoo that should bring you to the posts.
With Gordon we all have our favorites, usually some of the hits such as IYCRMM, Sundown, The Fitz, Etc. and some of the lesser known but equally wonderful songs, A couple of mine are Too Late for Prayin' and I'm Not Supposed to Care.
With so many of us you could ask What is our favorite Lightfoot song and the answer would be all of them
