Where can we log our complaints about mIRC?

Sheryl 04-11-2006 03:38 PM

Can we establish a chat room on corfid somehow?

Sydney Steve 04-11-2006 05:38 PM

I like John's Chatzy photo very much .

It depicts most of the chatters in grey while I am in colour. Most appropriate !
Chatzy is clearly very sophisticated as it highlights the brighter personalities (eg John and I ) in bold colours , and depicts those of a dreary disposition in grey. :D :D :D

Cathy 04-11-2006 05:54 PM

Who is Delusional? He's in green.

brink- 04-11-2006 06:34 PM

Cathy,
Delusional is Sydney Steve. Trust me he is delusional too, he thinks he's a treasure. lol

And Cathy,
Stevo has a great ass for a guy! that is why we all love him. not that there is anything wrong with it.

Iron 04-11-2006 07:27 PM

Help John! I can't get the link to work. It just comes up with a 404 error. Any ideas?

I'd like to learn more about the Chatzy system and have more of an understanding about it. Like anything, I'm sure it has cons and pros.

I get a 404 error, too.

If Delusional is Sidney Steve, who the heck is Michael?

mercedes 04-12-2006 07:11 AM

Cathy,

That would be me .... Michael Dixon ... one of the Australians who enjoys immensely, the company of "chat" and the one who initiated this thread.

Cathy - I think at times we are all guilty of being delusional - for some it's a permanent state of mind tho......

I never used to have problems remembering who was who. Now it seems like there are a hundred new people on this site!

johnfowles 04-14-2006 05:45 PM

OK OK yer tis here is the link to the alternative Gordon Lightfoot Chat Room that AnneOK has organised
http://www.chatzy.com/885842072610 simply:-
1.click that link
2.enter your nickname.
3.Select the colo(u)r that you would like your text entries to appear in then
3.enter this password Harmony.
but note that the password is case sensitive so make sure you use a capital "H'.
"harmony" all in lower case will not cut the mustard.
Time 9 pm EST this evening
I never heard back from my contact at:-http://www.dilexnet.net
And trying the site now one is still informed
"The Dilex-Networks Homepage is currently down."
Yet using my famous red button link on my site:-
http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/LIGHTFOOT/chat/
works a treat albeit opening the channel with the aid of mIRC.Sorry but I cannot use Java applets now myself on my new windows XP setup
So I do not know if entry by that method is again possible.
I suggest those who can try and want to chat evaluate the "chatzy" experience this week then we can dicuss and decide whether to continue with it or revert to the older method,
Bearing in mind that at least one of the regulars has an irrational dislike of mIRC, I have to say to the point of being on the brink of a nervous breakdown so to speak, and as far as I can tell the certainty that as more and more chatters get the later Windows with the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine omitted means the forthcoming end of using the relatively simple Java Applet entry method.I will when the dust has settled edit my chat page at:-
http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/LIGHTFOOT/chat/
John Fowles
One final point. the chatzy room uses Javascript (not directly related to Java despite the confusing choice of name).
If the chatzy room fails to open it is probably due to you or your computer's administrator turning off Javascript in your browser's options due to the perceived security risk.If so use your browser's help to find out how to restore Javascript handling

I'm not irrational about my dislike, I have just joined the band - so to speak. We get tired of getting booted out. Char got booted no less than 11 times one night. The only one who hasn't has been your buddy Sydney Steve - tell me that isn't weird.

LSH 04-14-2006 06:48 PM

I already have the drums, you'll have to pick a different instrument...

Iron 04-14-2006 06:48 PM

John,
Though I had to go to the Favs.,I seemed to get into the mIRK site. Tried the new one also,it seems a bit slower, which works for me.Last week we had none, looks like maybe We'll have an alternate tonight...

Thanks to all who gave me a warm welcome back during Friday's chat. Life has more or less returned to abnormal (loooong story) and hopefully I can begin posting more regularly again.

As for the chats, I only work the Friday night shift one week of every five, but I'll do my best to drop in when things are quiet on my end.

Love and kisses to all.... :D

charlene 04-15-2006 02:53 PM

love and kisses to you too!!

David it was great to "see" you again. We look forward to you being back again.

DJ in MJ 04-15-2006 03:05 PM

Thanks, Char. You are a delight as ever.

And a big thanks to Brink and Laurel for the laughs during the chat. That was more entertaining than the last few books I've read!
