Default Mitt-shaped spud

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Mitt-shaped spud

Published Tuesday November 6th, 2007

Byron Winslow, 9, of Presque Isle, Maine, holds a 3-pound Russet potato that grew in the shape of a baseball mitt. The Maine Potato News said the oddly shaped spud was grown on a Caribou, Maine, farm near where Boston Red Sox legend and Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski once grew potatoes with his uncle.

That's right Charlene, I did think about Cathy when I saw this article from Maine in the morning newspaper.

Im wondering if she is going to go at John Mellencamp's concert ?

I have never seen one potato that could feed a whole family. Hopefully it tastes good too.

Until now, the strangest potatoe that I once saw was one that was shaped like a duck & roughly the size of a half grown duckling.

I've seen a duck-shaped potato, also. And does anyone remember the Nixon's face potato that Cliff Claven had on an episode of "Cheers"?
