I've been burning cd's with a software package called Audio Cleaning Lab by Magix. It works fine when burning digital to digital but not when going analog to digital. I've been attempting to archive vinyl and when I burn it to cd I hear skips. Any suggestions would be appreciated from my brethren in the Gord.

I have had the best results by recording the vinyl to a .wav file and then burning a CD form the .wav file. You can use just about any digital audio software to record the .wav file. Many software packages can edit the digital audio and remove any pops and scratches. Email me if you need specific help on recording a .wav file, I'll try to provide more specifics.

Hope that was helpful

Walter,

The skipping I'm referring to is of a digital nature, given that the vinyl I'm converting is in pristine shape, there are no functional vinyl skips. In any event, I'll certainly e-mail you as a follow up. Thanks for the offer.
