Interesting duets
Do you know of any rare/obscure, probably now long forgotten, interesting or even unusual duets (recordings and/or live performances)?
One came to mind recently (the Mama Cass & Dave Mason album) and I just found another on youtube I never knew about (Cher & Harry Nilsson).

Re: Interesting duets
I was a fan of "The Mamas & The Papas," by far the best voice & talent of the 4 was Cass Elliott. But John Phillips was good writing songs. Only Michelle is left, they were great !

Re: Interesting duets
She had an amazing voice. I think the song that best showcases her voice is "Dream a Little Dream", I love that song!
I've always been a big fan of Dave Mason's and I'd love to go to one of his concerts again. I saw him perform solo at Toad's Place in New Haven in the mid-90's. I used to love to go to Toad's...now I don't even recognize the names of any of the bands that perform there. Anyway...after his performance I went looking for my friend who came with me (I was also looking for the bathroom) and while walking down a corridor, one of the bouncers asked me if I'd like to meet Dave. So well yeah I said ya! The guy went into the dressing room and told Dave that I wanted to meet him. Dave stepped out and we talked for 5-10, he was really wiped out from traveling and the performance so I thought it was nice of him to take the time.

Re: Interesting duets
Thanks Patti and Jesse! Great vid!
I just found this one of Karen Carpenter and Ella Fitzgerald. Kind of hard to watch Karen here because her face is gaunt and her gown looks like it was just hanging off of her .

Re: Interesting duets
That's too bad she got sick, but that voice sure sounded so nice. Both of them sounded nice. Thanks for posting the vid. These duets are pretty cool.

Re: Interesting duets
That Donna Summer is so amazing. She looked just right in that cowboy hat too. Looked like that Rabbit thought so too. What a good video. Glad you found that one, Pam.
