would you say both songs sound a little bit simaller? at least the beginnings of them? i only know the re-recording of Softly.

Yeah, I think I know what you mean.

I have the same feelings when I listen to Steel Rail Blues/High and Dry.

I think that Peaceful Waters and Minor Ballad have a similar sound to one another too.
