Re: John Stockfish

I have always loved The Guess Who’s “Lightfoot “. It was the B side of the single of American woman. Captures Cummings and Bachman’s love of Lightfoot’s music and cleverly sounds like him.

Re: Jimmy Buffet's new guitar and tune

Good, find char. Saw Jimmy buffet in concert for the first time on Easter weekend in Florida. Great show. He has a tradition where he does an encore without the band, just him and his guitar. Reminded...

Re: Lightfoot and Chapin-Peterborough article-7-2013

The Lightfoot Denver duet...

Re: Birds at the end of 'Gotta Get Away'

I mostly,lurk and don't post but,

The birds were recorded by Dan Gibson and as you would expect from
Gord, were credited on the Salute credits.

Dan has passed away, but left some great sounds...

Re: Lyrics I've always heard wrong until.....

Back in the the late 70s Gord would joke that the band thought it was " All the lovely ladies in refineries tonight, I wish that I could relieve you of your change"

Re: 1977 recording-CHapin,Denver,Taylor,Lightfoot

If Peewee was there he didn't play. There were just the 5 of them on stage. I heard the story about Harry forgetting his guitar but thought it was when he played the second Olympic Benefit for Gord,...

Re: Wenatchee WA article

Still, finding this stuff here is a great part of my day.

It is so great that Gord still tours and, as a result we have stuff to talk about and share.

Can't wait until May

This is great. I'd love to be the highest bid in that auction.

And if someone could talk Gord into playing the encore at that show with that guitar the bids might even be higher. It is a D-18, not...

Re: Two Recent Video Interviews of GL by Rudy Blair (680 News)
