welcome Philip.
As any number of Lightheads here will testify ,it is never too late to become a "Lighthead"
and whilst you discover the many gems by the bard we will all watch and drool as you report back.If you have any questions fire away. nothing is too silly or naive to ask
As a "pure rock fan" you must appreciate the late great Buddy Holly (the purest rock and roller that there ever was or will be), and your choice of thread title reflects that fact
Good chords, good lyrics, good imagery. You'll like your search if you start one. One song that I think is a close "rock" song from Gord is "It's Allright". There may be others that say he has others closer to rock, but I always felt this one was a sleeper that was Gord's closest shot to rocking.
Hi Phillip,
My roots are in classic rock as well,.... and I too have a deep appreciation for Buddy Holly as Sir John Fowles does. But you can't deny Lightfoot's magic and he won me over early on in his career. Heck, good music is good music, right? errrr, maybe not Rap - but I digress...
Welcome, hope you enjoy it here...

Welcome to the group Philip! And I'm with you--I too would shudder to think what people would name the fans of Mr. Betts.
