I saw Gord in concert last night at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. Outstanding! His voice sounded great. I'll post more details about the concert later---don't have time right now. But this is my third concert and some of the things he said and did were a little off the usual "script." The most interesting moment was when he started playing "Make way for the lady" but after the first 30 seconds or so, he stopped and said, "I don't want to play that right now." He continued to doodle around on his guitar, but was taking his time before starting another song. He seemed to be trying to decide what to play next. The pause gave some fans the boldness to yell out requests, and as the pause grew longer, the fans' shouts grew louder and more raucous. Gord just continued to look down and fiddle quietly with his guitar. Finally, he settled on Morning Glory, and sang it all the way through. It was a rare treat to hear that in concert, so I was quite pleased.

More later. I won't be able to share more until after the weekend. But for now, I'll say that I had the same reaction after this concert that I had the other two times I've seen Gordon, and that is to say: "When can I see him again?!"

Me too, Landlocked! Hurry back!
I am also eaten up with curiosity as to
why he decided to stop midway thru
'Make Way for the Lady' ...

I'm going to see Gordon tomorrow night here in Duluth,MN. Ive seen hm here four other times, and its wonderful to hear "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" on the shores of lake Superior, where she headed out on her tragic voyage.
