We all know that with just about every album from every artist, there are going to be 1 or 2 songs on there that you just don't like or just don't care for. Gord is no exception. But are there any albums that you like all the songs on it? Waiting For You is mine. I like every single song on it. At some point or another, I've had all the songs stuck in my head(even Fading Away)!

My initial response was SUNDOWN, obviously. But checking the tracks, I realized there are two or three I don't care for. My second thought was SHADOWS. And, sure enough, it's pretty much flawless except for "I'll Do Anything." Then I had another notion. What about HARMONY? True, not one tune shines blindingly like, say, a "Read My Mind" or a "Carefree Highway" or a "Restless." But, considering the history of its making, and taken as a whole, track to track, it's all very pleasant, all very warm, all very melodic with still-surprising touches. I adore HARMONY and give it my vote for flawless, in its own special way.

And I will always love
that sound until the day
I die.

Have to say the new album is superb from start to finish, not a bad song there and a few classics, Shellfish for sure... I loved East of Midnight, Endless Wire too and Summertime Dream was incredible too... I wasn't too keen of Waiting for You but that was because I'd only played it a few times.. it's growing on me fast though.. I think A Painter Passing Through was a bit of a disappointment, his voice seemd to lose a bit of its quality.. my cousin in Toronto sent me a signed copy... when you look at Gordon's career you have to say - like Gram Parsons- the guy hasn't made a bad album... and few around today can lay claim to that...

Sumeerside of life! I think every track is top notch, and the whole album flows seamlessly. "Miguel" and "Nous Vivons Ensemble" amongst others, are still all time favourites.

I'm with Annie and Bill, DQ is the best Album ever by any artist, every song is a classic. ( and I just keep going back to them..."I'm sailing down the summer days where fish and seagulls play".. )

Keep Smiling
