Ask Gordon about a Soundstage 1979 DVD

A suggestion:
If you are going to a Lightfoot concert this summer, and you get the chance to talk to him after the show, ask him if there is any hope that we may see the Soundstage 1979 concert officially released on DVD soon.

John Prine's 1980 Soundstage concert was released a few months ago on DVD. This should give us some hope. Unauthorized copies of Gordon's performance on that show have been kicking around on eBay for years, and they are highly sought after because it was such a gem of a show: Lightfoot in the prime of his career, his voice still strong and sweet.

Tell Gordon we've all bought his Reno DVD and we treasure it, but we would love to have the chance to buy an official copy of that great 1979 Soundstage concert. And let us know what he says!

Larry, I barely remember seeing the Soundstage show about Gordon Lightfoot back in 1979, my graduation year. Unfortunately I don't have a copy,I was renting VCR's in 1982, finally bought one in 1985, never saw a re-run of that show.
