I would like to set the record straight here... I get sick and tired whenever I post something to the effect that I have recorded Mr.Lightfoot and now have one or two wave files and for some reason I get an email or two "warning" me about that Mr.Lightfoot would not like this etc etc.

This event was broadcast world wide by CBC Radio 1, and as such anyone who has a PC good enough to capture audio recordings on the fly is perfectly legally entitled to do so. It is for my own personal collection and I do not intend to sell these recordings etc etc. It really is no different than sitting down at your TV and recording your favourite TV show.

That is all I'm gonna say in the matter...

I don't know the "legalities" of all this, but I record a lot of stuff off the TV all the time. I think it gets a bit nit picky when its free and able to be seen and/or heard by anybody. Heck if Gord doesn't like it when he calls ask for an autograph.
