I can’t compete, but a few years ago I was in our local supermarket and ‘If you could read my mind’ came over the in-store entertainment system.
For a few minutes I just stood and listened.
I think the check-out girl thought I’d lost the plot...

Now this is cool, & as it should be! We visited Toronto most recently in the summer of 2014. I don't remember hearing GL music @ the CN Tower back then (BTW, @ the Canada pavillion @ EPCOT in Disney World, we DID hear his music piped in while we were walking through the grounds of the gardens there). Also, the Canadian Band who performs there, Off Kilter, did include @ least one of his songs as they entertained (IIRC, it was "Alberta Bound").

Now that I think of it, it was fitting that the one time I heard The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald on the radio (1986) was at Lakes Entrance on the Gippsland Lakes (3 hours east of Melbourne), Australia's largest inland waterway system, close to where oceangoing ships pass through.

I heard ‘The Wreck...’ on the radio, back in 1992. There was a BBC Programme on the Great Lakes early one Sunday morning.
Laying in bed, listening to a fascinating programme backed by that famous song made my day...
