Default spin Spin

In 2001 I spent time taking a distance learning course from home on web authoring and quite fancied the idea of building up a business designing web sites bit soon after I graduated a series of job losses in the previously booming Information Technology professions led to a glut of trained people able to do the limited amount of work available.I had however thought up a catchy business name for my proposed activities
Spin Spin Web Designs in honour of this very overlooked major hit record by Gord.
From time to time the subject of this record crops up and it just did in this house yesterday.I recall that back in 1999 in the chatroom my future wife said that she had never heard of this song, which has been a firm favourite of mine ever since I first heard it as the very first song that I heard Gord singing on Montreal's CJFM Radio station in 1966, and I quickly emailed to her an mp3, albeit a low quality rip to keep the file small so that it could be attached under the then very low attachment limit imposed by hotmail.Recently my wife admitted that she had not realised that it had in fact been a top ten hit,nor apparently did the compilers of the Complete Greatest HITS CD as it was omitted thus rendering the CD's title ridiculously inaccurate
proof comes on a Canadian hit charts web page at

this song was discussed in an old thread subject
Spin Spin Question(s)
at:-

http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/Charts/1962/Ch196212.html
shows Gord at number 28 in 1962 with both "It's Too Late He Wins and Negotiations

I also have to point out that
http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/Charts/1962/Ch196207.html#276
shows Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues at number 9 in December 1965
and that
"(Remember Me) I'm the One" reached #3 in July1962
http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/Charts...96207.html#276
but neither of those obvious hits on are on the sadly mistitled
(in)Complete Greatest Hits compilation
