A fine instrument, an odd contradiction.

I will keep mine.

They probably have about a $5000. reserve on that baby. The last one I saw that sold went for $6200.... Thats a lot of green stamps..
If anyone is looking for a D-18V,there is a "great buy" on E-bay for a 2003 model in almost mint condition with a buy it now price, shipping including, for only $1600. That guy has to be nut's to let that thing go so cheap. If I would'nt have just got one,I'd jump on that deal.
Just by coincidence,I happen to know the guy and I've heard him doing some Gord tunes on it and it sounds just like Gordon's D-18.
The guitar sounds like Gordon's, but I think that guy better keep his day job...anyway,He sure has fun trying..

Hey, Jim, I see you are still around as you posted today. Why don't you drop me a line with your guitar number. I'm keeping a list, trying to find all of them. I have located about 35 or 40 of them so far.

PS: The one on Ebay did not sell. Stopped at $3550, barely over the list price. Of course, the high bidder might have gone well beyond that - just not reached the reserve price. Although one or two were up here with prices in excess of $5000, that is really unrealistic. Maybe one or two people paid that much, but most resales were between list and the high $4000s and not more.

I am always interested in what the D-18GL goes for. I am the proud owner of #7 of 61 and would not part with it for any amount of money.

Rich P, I sure can't give any specifics on most resales, but the last 2 or 3 I saw on e-bay got up around $5,000. and did not reach the sellers reserve.Though it is quite possible I may have missed some, the only one that I saw that sold on e-bay was #26 of 51,and it sold for $6,201.Considering the great price I got mine for, that made me feel pretty lucky,UNREALISTIC as that may be.Myself,I don't think it's all that UNREALISTIC considering that there are only 61(plus Gordon's and the prototypye). That's just My opinion....
