Mine is Summer Side of Life. Mostly because I see myself in alot of the songs on this album. Hitching a ride when it's cold( ten degrees and colder). The Vietnam reference in Summer Side of Life.

Cabaret reminds me of when I was traveling out west in the Northern Pacific area.

It's so hard to pick a particular favorite song. What is your favorite album? I'd be interested in hearing. thanks

Hey Dave, I really like all of them actually! It's hard to rank them. I have to say I really like Sundown. Good songs, Watchmans Gone, Circle of Steel, Sundown, Seven Island Suite, ... Sumertime dream has to be my second then Don Quixote

You know, it's like in his interview that's available on Val McGee's site. When asked what his favorite song is, there was this long pause on Gord's end. The interviewer said, "I guess it's like trying to pick your favorite finger."

Old Dan's Records has to be my #1, but not by much. "Lightfoot" is a close second, I love the old folk sound. Summer side of life and Cold on the shoulder are close 3 and 4. Actually, now that I think about it......it depends on my mood.

"Cold on the Shoulder" still is my favourite album as all of the songs merge very well. It is a very poetic tapestry of haunting lyrics, great melodies, wonderful arrangements and perfect singing - closely followed by "Sundown" and "Summertime Dream".

Then again, all of Gordīs albums are of exceptional quality - even "Waiting For You" which to this date has not really grown on me.

Songbook by far the best. All of best songs in one box set. it is hard to pick a song to listen to. Kind of like a kid in a candy shop. I like the book that came with it. The rarity are a cool touch.

Ode To Big Blue was on the 1972 Don Quixote album. I don't know when he actually wrote it but it was probably just before recording the album.

1) Don Quixote
2) Lightfoot
3) Old Dan's Records

I prefer the "jangle" of the acoustic guitars to later synthesizer background.
