got a question for an experienced gord fan. recently ive heard that sundown was written about robots used in the great canadian industrial boom of the late sixties. is this far fetched or dose anyone else read into this??
in the Songbook booklet he says:
:"A song about infidelity.-There's nothing like unrequited love with a touch of infidelity to capture people's imaginations."
He says he wrote it when he lived out in the country and there was always a beautiful sunset to the west of the barn and that imagery made it into the song. The cover pic was taken there where he is sitting on a bale of hay. He has fond memories of working there at the farmhouse.
