Hello Everyone.
On the "Waiting For You" jacket cover there is a picture of a wierd looking car.
Does anyone know the special meaning of this car? What kind of car it is? Any story on it? It is somewhat of a haunting picture.
Thank you,
"Here in my on again, off again style"

Well,no one answered this one,"Much To My Surprise!" I'll give it a shot though. Nothing like waiting 1 day short of 3 years for an answer, huh?!!! My best guess,Wes,is that more than likely it's one of his cars and I would think that if it symbolized anything in relation to himself,it would be that he may be older but he's still going strong and kind of like a car he wont stop moving until (and excuse how this is phrased) "someone shuts off the engine." For it seems like ever since he stopped having the standard form of musical success,he's had to keep proving himself over and over. Very soon,he'll have to prove it again when he finds a label, gets his next CD out there and shows that he can still put on a great show. Basically,I think it's simple symbolizm. So,it's been the B! Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown! (I can't believe I'm only the 2nd person on today! -)

It looks like a Chevy Bel-Aire, maybe 1955-58.

Not a Chevy Bel-Air. That car had a much larger chrome front bumper and the grill was squared off, not rounded down in an oval shape like this one. It actually looks to be an early 50s Ford or Mercury model, based on the grill.

Hi,Brink! Nice to see someone on here at this time besides me! That car has got me thinking I should write to Gordon and ask what it's all about. Think he'd answer?

"The B"
Have you thought of just writing to EMP and posing the question? Or, track down the photographer if you can, and ask her.

Hi B!
didn't refresh before I logged off, I think when we go to Toronto for the concert in 2004 (with Oma and her family) we should take our list of questions and give it to Gord, he can give it back the second night with the answers written in. Good idea if I say so myself!

Great idea Brink! I'd have stayed on longer the other day but my time was up here at the library and they were closing at 6pm MST. I sure hope I get to go with you guys. Not having a home computer/E-mail or such,I can't get in contact with people as quickly as others and the library does not facilitate E-Mails for the 1 hour computers they have here. When I get home,I'll check for the name of the photographer, then try to find a way to contact. Anyhow,it's just about 3pm here in Phoenix,it's hot and due to the ridiculous shortened Sunday bus schedules,I had to walk here to the library! I can't get a car until I find more suitable employment. I was lucky to get a computer so quickly, they're busy on Sundays here. Well,it's been the B! Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown!
