No,"Rio" didn't chart in America at all.

It was a top 40 hit in other countries, but in the U.S. ,Former Monkees
members were about as welcome on the charts & radio in the late 1970s as Pat Boone.

Too bad for Nesmith though,it's a good song & brilliant video for it's time.

Speaking of one hit wonders, just received (in the mail) a copy of the 1981 hit "Precious To Me" by Phil Seymour (#22). He was a former member of The Dwight Twilley Band, that hit #16 in 1975 with "I'm On Fire".

After that,I'm expecting the "final" top 40 hit
of the 1980s I nedd to have "all" of the hits of the 80s.

That's right. It took from 1980s itself but in a few days "Love Changes Everything" by Climie/Fisher (#23 1988) will be in my collection. (Only 99cents plus shipping...from the UK! Worth it thoguh, better than most U.S. sellers & no record store in Phonix has it.

The 70s are still a long ways off to be
done,over 150 acts. One,two and 3 hit wonders.

A minor update on this.

Have, since last post ,added about 20 + acts to my collection.

Most notably "Magic" by Pilot,Chevy Van by Sammy Johns,Did You Boogie With Your Baby (etc.) Flash Cadillac & the Continental Kids.

...and! a song I "really" should have had
since 1979....."Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" by McFadden & Whitehead.

I've also got below 130 Seventies Top 40 left to find overall.

Anyone familiar with Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band?

I just got a "best of" cassette from Amazon, which includes all
three of their "pop" chart Top 40 hits and many other charted singles as well.

Pretty good stuff and I understand Bill Cosby
was the one who discovered them. Good work Bill!.

Well, 7 months later and I'm here to state, I'm now
only need 96 acts of the 1970s, to have the whole decade.

For the one hit wonders ,I'm down to about 70 (maybe just under) .

The rest is :

Acts with 3 hits. Only three - New Birth ,Jimmy Castor Bunch & Flaming Ember.

About 20 acts (or less) with 2 hits only.

Too bad all these songs aren't on a
CD collection. Anyway, if you read this ,thanks for reading.

There may be some FaceBook sites out there but the rules/regulations/what you can post/what you can't is ridiculous. Breathless devotion and 'no negative comments about Gordon/his songs' or posts disappear..gawd help me.
Gawd forbid someone wish the Canadian fans congrats on the JAYS success...POOF - gone!lol

Thanks Bill! Yep, 47 & still doin' my thing here in Phoenix ,same B library, same B "PC's".

It's funny, when I found this site in 2002, the library only had 15 computers for public use.

Now they have 34!! (29 full time adult use,3 express and 2 for job searching.)

I think they have 8 kiddie PCs.

But If any new Gordon info. happens in relation to me, I'll surely post it.

As for ,y 348 One Hit Wonders......down to about 50 + now.
