Easy now, SH.

You have two of the three, and "too soon to tell" on the third!

A song that I think would sound really good recorded by Gorodn would be Bruce Springsteens "I'm On Fire". Also Neil Young's "Old Man"

------------------
Look into his shining eyes and if you see a ghost don't be surprised......Listen to the strings. That jangle and dangle while the old guitar sings.

The lake it is said never gives up her dead, when the gales of November come early.

classic, I'm sure Gord would do as commendable a job as he did on Kristofferson's Bobby McGee but no one does Kris like Kris and no one does Gord like Gord. They are my two fave guys in the world and I like it when they do their own stuff!
I'm not a fan of cover songs at all anyway though!
Kris and Gord - on tour - I'm there all the way baby!
lol

I actually heard Gord do "Loving Her was Easier" once - Carnegie Hall, 1971. Yeah, I'm an old guy..... It was fantastic by the way. It was also my first Gord concert. He was promoting his brand new album Don Quixote at the time...

I regret to inform you.....

That is's already been. I guess that means I am now OVER 50.... January 10, 1951 3:53 AM (haven't been awake that early since...)Paterson, NJ, USA. I forget the weight but it around 7 and a half. This is much more fun than talking about being 50.....

Actually fo those that can see that one coming it's not bad at all. All of a sudden you don't feel the need to justify yourself to idiots - you say "screw it. I'm 50. I don't have to listen to that...."

--I saw Ralph Emery on TNN featuring Kris, Willie, Crystal Gayle, Glen Campbell, Bobby Bare and others just recently. Kris sang "Why Me Lord" and "Lovin' Her...".

Char. for the most part I share your attitude on who can sing a song. In many cases a "hit" is predicated on who sings it. To me, "Lovin Her..." is a song that stands the test of time. To whit...a classic. Others could sing it and make it work but it's Kris who gives it that something-something. With that said I'd still like to have heard Gord sing the song in "71" along with Fezo proving he's not pulling our tail.

Oh, I'm not pulling your tail! It happened. Wish I'd been able to record it - and haven't seen the woman I was at that concert with in 27 years - a streak I'd like to keep alive....

This was when it was three guys - Gord, Rick and Red. Man that was a good night!

Thanks to Char for her arithmetic skills...
