Depending on how fast he reads, your going to make his day for a few seconds and then ruin it when he finds out how 'old' you are.

Hey Walter you are quite shameless your most recent posting is probably only a plea for some attention but I suspect you just wanted everybody to admire your rugged good looks one more time before the year closes. Am I correct or what??

Oh......ah...yeah! Ya got me John! I'm such a stallion it's scary!
Nothing like ending the year looking at my goofy grin, huh?

Could be worse ya know..I could bring "The Borderstone Tapes","The Complete Borderstone Stash" or "If Lightfoot Were Bigger Than Elvis" threads back to the top!!

Really though,Sheryl wants to make a "souvenier" album to send to Gord and I really wanted to help!
Besides, that photo's going on the cover!!! Later!

Thank you, Borderstone. John, all I have seen of you is a picture that I don't believe is quite recent. I think you have what is called a "Prince Valiant" style hair-do. Post a new one -- of you and Susan - perhaps a wedding pic??

Sheryl despite checking with google
I have no idea what a "Prince Valiant" fairstyle looks like**. I very recently displayed this striking picture taken in Sherborn near Boston (no "e" on the end as there is in my UK birthplace of Sherborne, Dorset England back in October. Now like most attractive ladies Susan is averse to having her pic on public display (let alone the highly imagined chance of thereby risking identity theft, death by an axe etc!
so you will have to quiz her in the chat room one week!!

John Fowles
**Yes I am very gray/grey/white but only have a little thinning at the back

If John F. and Borderstone are typical of the men on this board lookswise, we ladies are very lucky indeed! I am impressed.

Well Amie, when it comes to the opposite geneder...even though I've tried in the past to play it "cool" ,it always happens when one compliments me,I can't help but to blush about it!
That's a good thing though, because it just means that person just made me feel pretty good inside & out!
When I was a teen,I came across as "Goofy" when he has that "Aw,shucks" attitude. (Gawrsh! ) Been me,later!

Shame on you Loise and somebody else who said they knew not how to display pix here.
my earlier and somewhat derided display tutorial was good enough to get the computer challenged "domestic goddess" who moderates this forum to successfully display pix (at least until her subsequent lobotomy caused extreme memory failure anyway)
The good news is that I am about to rehash my splendid tutorial as after much researching I have found a great provider of huge (one whole gigabyte) free websites that not only allows hot-linking but also seems to have a very high file size limit
(a file of over 40MB uploaded sucessfully)
so now I can describe a fuller package)
The bad news is that I am about to take delivery of much needed upgrade components for my main desktop PC and will have to concentrate on that for a while
John Fowles
meanwhile I will be adding as my signature to my postings in future quotations from a superb book

example

Well,Amie when posting a message in the big white box like I am now,all you have to do to put the proper emotion symbol where you want it is to click the option called "Smilies Legend".

This is located to the left of the box and will go to a seperate window showing the different smiley face emtions. You then choose one and follow the example next to it.

I've done this so often,I don't have to look anymore. Good luck!

...& yes,I have been told by those ladies that I'm "adorable" when I turn color!
