Oh my yes. I love that CD. You must have purchased the newer release because it comes with a DVD of the "Hurt" video.

He has been recording for his next release, Amercian V! Can't wait!

it was a small 700 capacity warm up show for the arena dates he did. i was standing 3 meters away from him and he looked at me a few times

Just reading through some old threads and I felt like adding on to this one. (I think it's one of the few topics that run from 2000 to now.)

Some other great concerts I've been too:

Men At Work - Sept. 1983 -A. Vetrans Mem. Colesium

(Again:August) 1985-Bryan Adams w/Kim Mitchell (another Canadian.) A.V.M.C.

Dec. 19th,1987- U2 - Sun Devil Stadium,Tempe:Filming Of "Rattle & Hum" Rockumentary. (I'm a star! Not!)

Bon Jovi,Sept. 1989 (with 2 opening acts,I think Skid Row was one.) A.V.M.C.

(KISS: Not only in '96 but also '90 (with the late drummer Eric Carr)/'92 (on their club circuit tour) & '94 (at the AZ State Fair.)

May 1991:Whitney Houston & After 7 Desrt Sky Pavillion (Now called "Cricket Pavillion". )

Dec. 1991:Rod Stweart (Showed up 45 min. late!) Good show though,birthday gift for my mother. C. Pavillion

April 1992:Ozzy Osbourne's "alleged" retirement tour! C. Pavillion

Oct. 1992-Slaughter - AZ State Fair (Glad the show was paid with only price of attending the fair!)

Aug.(yes,again),1995:Little River Band (Met entire group and they autographed my copy of "Sleeper Catcher" from 1978! (Strangley enough,I was the only one who brought anything. Red River Opry House (now re-named something.)

Jan. 1996: Warren Zevon (R.I.P) The Rocking Horse (Club) Scottsdale,AZ. I went with my brother and saw almost the whole show but since he had to get up in the A.M.-we left before hearing "W. Of London". The place burned down a year later.

After KISS in '96,I didn't go to a concert again until Little Richard played the Ft. MacDowell Casino on July 3rd,2002. I "almost" met him standing a mere 10 or 15 feet away from him but he wasn't receiving people for autographs.

Gordon's on 8/6/2002 was and still is the last show I've been to. I really haven't had the best oppotunities to attend a concert in awhile. There's some good one's coming this fall and come heck or high water,I'm going to one! (Just not this month...August ya know! ) (Yes,the above is every concert I've ever seen!)

I've only been to 3 concerts. Two were Gord's, and the first one in 1990 was the best. You've all heard that story ad nauseum.
But following close in second position was Rickie Lee Jones at the Pier One in Seattle. I was lucky enough to be front and center (general admission). She sounded GREAT and engaged the audience well. It was a lot of fun.

Laurel,I heard R.Lee J's,"Chuck E's In Love" back when it came out in 1979. A few years later I found the LP in tip top shape and I still have it. I saw her on one of the late night talk sjows a few months back,she's still got it!

Joveski,yeah that is a weird coincidence! That's one of the weird ways of the universe man!

The MOODY BLUES at Chastain Park, in Atlanta. It was a fall evening, very cloudy, with the threat of rain. The Moody's were playing with The World Orchestra. As soon as they were announced, the skies cleared, a coll autumn breeze came up and the stars came out!!! John Lodge has been a friend of mine for years ( Grammy's) and after their incredible performance, we were invited back to the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead, for drinks, and John and I talked for about two hours.
For me, that one evening stands out as one of the most perfect concerts, ever!

Wow, you guys have the best stories.
Mine would be Pearl Jam in Molson Park in Barrie (about 40 min north of Toronto). My girlfriend and I had lied to our parents saying she would be at a friends, while I was at a leadership camp (hey they belived it). Ed Vedder was amazing ( as where the remaining band members, but as songwriter I connect with him). At one point a out of control football was barreling down on him and in mid song without missing a note, he caught the ball, jestured to the crowd to go long and punted out a perfect 30+ yard kick. All with never straying from the song.
