Brink, you said you thought air prices will be going down-is that usual for this time of year? I don't want to pay too much by buying tickets now if they may go down.

i've almost always found that air prices go up the closer to the date you want to fly...supply and demand...

trip to Hartford CT. in Nov. was 345.00. I waited to buy - two weeks later - 465.00!!

Rona,
Denver has a lot of flights to Vegas, straight shots they say. If the plane isn't full they sell really cheap tickets. I can wait because I am within driving distance of Vegas and don't mind road trips. My situation may be different than yours. I can't advise you but in my case with Spring Break over with I think that the fare from Denver to Vegas will be less than it is now. If I'm wrong I'll be "On the Road Again".
