Watching a documentary on Gram Parsons ( who died of a drug overdose on Sept 19, 1973) and in the portion of the film where he goes off to college, the sound track is Gordon Lightfoot's "Early Mornin' Rain".
Parsons is a fascinating figure, caught in a middle ground between not being a top star, yet being a pivotal influence to a generation of artists.
