I know that Rex is busy tending to his mother but it does not stop him forwarding a steady stream of "funnies"
his one today really made me think
I am one of the 55% who succeeded
Now I understand why my frequent typos are so hard to spot!!!
which reminds me I read this in an email from a self confessed computer-challenged friend in New Mexico
"I no longer use white out correction fluid on my screen in conjunction with spell check"

sorry to have to say so Steve but IMNSHO you slid backwards badly
Because you dismally failed to absorb the vital line above
"the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae"
This rule should have applied to no less than three of your words
You however wrote "pbatercdil" ???
WATISDAT??
pterodactyl??
nope
????????
well all right BUT... "predictable"'s first letter may well be "P" BUT.. its last letter sure as hell ain't an "L"

Well I have no problem reading these things since I'm mildly dyslexic - so a lot of it is what I "see" anyway, when I'm reading in a hurry. I'd never make a "rip and read" reporter - I'd foul it up first day on the job. Though I have to say my reading dyslexia is more like whole words out of order - headlines are worst - than letters flipped within words. THAT I do when typing, all the time.

I had no problem reading that. The important part about the message, though, is that the Rez is still around. I miss his intelligent and heartfelt contributions (it's been since March, or so), and I'm glad he's still with us. When you contact him, give him a big hello, and tell him I'm rooting for him and his mom.

OK DQ Agreed heartily. I have now emailed him and suggested that he gets his rear end into gear and replies here
I had previously had an online IM session and repeated an email to him in which I sought his help tracking down fellow LA area musician/MIA Sean Stephens/Ramunno(a.k.a. "searam" ).So Rex if you turn up here you have run out of excuses for your inaction. That is your first warning !!
