Maybe some of you Michiganders or Ohioans(?) can help me out here. Way back in the stone age (the 70's), Cedar Point in Ohio had one of those huge movie screens that are the predecessor of today's Imax theaters. One summer they showed a film called "North of Superior" or "Superior Country" (something to that affect, anyway). I swear I remember a Gordon Lightfoot song of the same name being used as the theme song, but can't find any trace of such a song or such a movie. Am I really just getting prematurely senile or does it really exist, and if so, where can I find the song?
Thanks for the help.

I did an internet search and came up with "North of Superior" which was filed in the IMAX format. It's the most widely seen Canadian IMAX film ever. It features views of the forests and other natural points of interest, and concludes with a forest fire that seems to engulf the audience. Alas, I could find no listing of any of the music featured on the soundtrack. I looks like a soundtrack recording was never released.
You might want to try calling Early Morning Productions in Toronto...they might be able to confirm or deny that some of Gord's music was in the film.

If any decade is the "Stone Age" it's the '50's! (Before rock & roll of course). The '70's rule and always will. The clothes, the music, the TV shows, the movies and the much cleaner air. The '80's were a depressing bore and the '90's were like a bad dream. No malice intended with this message but I just had to set the record straight. By the way,the harsh realities are not a part of my statement on the '70's. B! O.H. & A.B.!
