Gordon Lightfoot convention

If there is anyone that is new to this site, or hasn't heard of it before, about 50 "Lightheads" are gathering in Toronto for the 2nd annual convention at the time of the Massey Hall concerts.

In reference to the conventions in general,do these Lightfoot conventions ever travel the U.S.? I got-sta know!

In the past, Lightheads tend to get together for some of the concerts, but we save the actual "convention" for the Massey Hall concerts. With three or four shows at the same place, there is lots more incentive for folks to travel a long distance to go.

Here's hoping we get another one in 2005!

That's our roadtrip Borderstone! Hop a Greyhound (fares are $15 and up) and I will pick you up in "beautiful" downtown Denver. Then we'll be "on the road again" going down the "Carefree Highway". Being Toronto bound.

according to your profile Duncan you registered as recently as April 2003. But this topic was started way back in 2001 and concerned the most successful second convention planned to coincide with Gord's May 2001 Massey Hall mini-season just as the first was at the time of his November 1999 concerts following rather less formal gatherings at several earlier Massey's, there was expected to be a bigger bash at the aborted November 2002 series for which several of us have retained our tickets which the Hall has said will be hono(u)red when note not if there is another round in hopefully 2005.
