Hey jbt,

This year has a few other Gordon Lightfoot LP & Song Anniv.'s. It's been a little over 40 years since the Two Tones,35 years since,"Did She Mention My Name",(Early '68),30 years since,"Old Dan's Records",25 since the above mentioned and also Gord's last top 40 chart appearence. 20 years since,"Salute",15 years (end of '88) since GGII,10 since,"Waiting For You" and 5 since,"A Painter Passing Through" (end of '98). Lastly,4 years June 15th since,"Songbook" and 1 year since Comp. Gr. Hits! Whew!! As for all the ones in-between,SALUTE! Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown!

happy birthday ew78!
billw,
i haven't been on in awhile, but lisa told me about this post today. the song you're thinking of, or, i should say, confidently have in mind, is "half a century high". just another ochs classic.
..."and now it can be told, i'm a quarter of a century old, but i'm a half a century high..."
bill, thanks for remembering
