poor seats

I've got tickets to see Gordon on May 9th at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati. My seats are in row Y on the floor. Does anyone know if that is fairly close to the stage given the size of the venue? I'm surprised to be so far out (Y)given the advanced purchased. Are Gordon's advanced ticket sales that good these days?

A general warning: Lightfoot seems to play many venues known as (I believe) "dinner theaters." When I purchased tickets for the Sun Theater in Anaheim, California, I was unfamiliar with this type of venue, and so was greatly dismayed to find myself sitting at the back of a long dinner table--able to see only the heads of those in front of me, many of whom were more interested in their food than in the performance. Only a polite but firm complaint got me and my wife relocated to a couple of available (and quite amazing) front-of-the-table seats right at the railing. Anyway, just be careful to check a seating chart before making your ticket purchase.

Many thanks for the info. Looks to me as though I'm 20 + rows back. No disrespect to Gordon...but given my early purchase and his popularity factor (forgive me Gordon)...I think my seats should have been much closer. In any event...I assure one and all that I will, as I have in the past, thoroughly enjoy his performance.

Looking at the Taft Theatre web site...they say the venue seats 2500 and that every seat is a good one. Yes the upper balcony makes everyone appear smaller but they say all seats are good.

By the way. Does anyone have any concert attendance figures? I'd be interested to see how Gord is doing these days from one city to another. Where is he selling out?
I'd be interested in record sales data too...biggest to least selling albums. I can guess and say that Sundown was the biggest but I would like more detail if anyone has it.
