Hi Janice...

Glad someone remembers me. I hope you are well.

How many are going up to Toronto in the spring. Boy, that would bring back good memories. My wife and I must have gone up there 10 different times. Was always a treat.

Everybody is well here and I hope with you also.

STONE COLD SOBER.... I wonder why Warner Bros. never even had that one on an album? I thought that is a great song. Just shows the stupidity of the record companies. They didn't pick up that song but there were quite a few "clinkers" on some of those albums.

My own opinion is that idiots ran the record companies....and still do. Sorry if I offended anyone....

"Song for a Winter's Night" and "The Watchman's Gone." Two terrific songs that never really got the attention they deserved.

Toronto...Massey Hall.... Springtime.... Gordon Lightfoot... Wow! What More Could You Ask For????????

Those were very special times for my wife and I. 90 percent of the time I had VERY good seats also...Very good seats...

It wouldn't be my wife & me anymore... Daughter (15 years old) Oldest son (12), and Joey (open heart surgery kid who is doing just fine 9 years old March 24).I remember all the prayers that were said for Joey from you people. You are all very special to me...

...All my kids like listening to "the boy"... Would have to break the bank to pay for all of this... but you know what... It would be worth it.... Plus meeting all of you fine people...except Charlene...She's a stick in the mud!

LOL... Just Kidding Charlene.

What do you mean I don't answer my emails? Answer every one...

Hope to be back a little more. Doing way too much travelling....

Thanks for remembering,

Wes

Hey Wes - just do it! Make it the family vacation, this year. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to see Gord's return to the Massey stage.

It would be really fun to meet you all!

Charlene....You Old Hag....How do you feel at this old age????? LOL!

Yes ma'am, I got your birthday greetings and I thank you....

Char, once I found out that you were going, I ripped up my tickets! HA!

Seriously, don't count me out yet. You never know when your gonna get lucky somewhere. Even if its to late to get tickets, I'd make my way up there just to stand outside Massey and listen... A very special place that Massey.... And a very special singer songwriter... Plus I could meet all you special people!

Wes

culverd & Janice...

You are both right. GL's Music WILL be around a long time from now...

My older kids saw GL in Erie about 4 years ago and they loved him and Joey wants in the worst way to go.

It would be a special vacation.

Those early 70s; North Shore Lake Tahoe; a young lady - called herself Sam - took in Stray Dogs.

The Stray Dogs would pile all over the furnature; pass the guitar; pass the pipe; pass the sweet fellowship.

The evening would begin w/ the sound of John Denver's Poem's, Prayers and Promises floating from the stereo. That signaled the sharing, the caring, the circle.

A breath would happen everynow and again. Sam would play just the right song on the stereo. The Stray Dogs would begin again.

When Sam chose the evening to draw to a close, she would put on THE song - the Stray dogs would move from the furniture to the floor and become still.

Shel Silverteen's lyrics would flow from the heart of Gordon Lightfoot. And the Homeless Found a Home On Susan's Floor.

It's not the stuff of hit records. Most folks have trouble getting in touch with their Stray Dog - or admit to ever having one.

In a caring world, On Susans Floor would be the perfect song.

Alas,

The Rez
