I have the Live in Reno D.V.D. I have searched all of the tracks on all of D.V. D,s. shown on the internet. I cannot find Fading away..anywhere.
I never knew this gem even existed .I am really surprised this one is not on the four box set.
... Unless it is under another title..P.S I'm sure glad about this site, i was beginning to feel alone in my Gordon Lightfootness.

welcome to the group Tony do keep asking questions.
I assume you mean that like most of us before the still recent days of the internet community you mean you thought you were alone in your "lightheaded"ness.
I thought so until about 1997 when I first tentatively got an internet savvy friend to search for Gordon Lightfoot on the (I imagined) off-chance that a site somewhere would have a mention about my hero for over thirty years at the time. now a google search for GL produces a staggering
690,000 results and doing a google image search a
mere 2,110
John Fowles
19)Highway Songs.
This would be a great finale.
The power and energy at the end of this song
is staggering.
It's almost as if it's going to come out of the speakers.
from a one time prolific posterr named frank V replying to a great list by somebody masquerading under the name Florian in March 2000 in an interesting old corfid
"Topic: NEW LIVE GORD???" at:-

OK I just tried to reply to that topic to bring it bsack to the top but the system will not allow it.Very strange. any clues Florian???
I note that the URL is in the "old" format but I tried using the topic number (000114.) in the current format and was told to go boil my head by a rude page

I like "Fading Away" too,although..unless I read the lyrics while listening,I have no idea what he's saying except for the title chourus.

I think I listed that song as a "hit" in my "Gord bigger than Elvis" topic sometime ago.
That (and many other songs) should have been on the radio!
