Re: Tim - GordisKing
Thanks jj. We're gettin' along alright here. I took a teaching job in Illinois that has taken some adjustment. Hence the hiatus. I"m glad to know that F & F has gotten another hit. Did you see the Fogelberg cover?

that's a haunting tune...you've got the full package: wonderful writing, flawless playing, emoting vocals... 'not bad' range either (lol, an understatement)
i think i was whincing as i listened, even moreso than you were as you sang ...lovely tone and thanks for the close up framing
my USA geog is lacking but NY to LA, err IL sounds like quite the commute...there's gotta be a song there

Re: Tim - GordisKing
Thanks jj. Yes I can't get those high notes without contorting my face. I guess that's where all the lines are coming from. Someday I suppose I just won't be able to get them at all.
Thanks for the song theme suggestion. You're right, I hadn't thought of that. I sat down again recently and tried to do some writing. I got a few lines down. I need to find time to get more done. I'm also planning on researching home recording. I'd like to try producing something good enough for iTunes but I know next to nothing about recording right now. I've ordered a book that gets good reviews from amazon. It should be arriving monday.
Anyway, I hope you're having a great holiday season. Best wishes -Tim

Then again my dad turns 84 in February and his voice is as resonant and loud as it's ever been. Maybe I've been blessed with some good genes.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
Hopefully for Massey 2011 Tim will make it up and JJ can experience how wonderful Tim's performance is at a pubjam. I'm really glad I made it to Aurora to see him, John, Ron and Paul earlier this year.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
Man, I'd love to make it to Massey. I'm so bummed I couldn't go this year. That was a fun time in Aurora. And yes, I'd like to meet JJ and see everybody I met last time again.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
Great to see you again Tim with your wonderful contributions.
I thoroughly enjoyed the complete package of all you have on You Tube.
You sure put your heart and soul into your work.
We missed you at the pub jam but there'll be other fun times ahead I'm sure.
Take care and keep them coming.
All the best in this New Year.
RJ.
