Just listened to CBC Fresh Air on my truck radio on my way home after a week on the road. They played all 3 songs he sang: Let It Ride, IYCRMM, and Diamond Joe by " Ramblin' Jack Rueben " ( not sure about artist ?? ) I'm always in a good mood when heading home but this just made my week-end!

He began by explaining how much of a challenge it was for him to perform as is anything he does these days. Also the CBC news which played previously played a clip of an interview with Gord and Ron Hawkins . Gord explained he's " just working his way back ".

His voice was strong and distinctly " Gord ".
I think anytime we can hear him sing after what he went through is a blessing.

I'd also like to point out that he's doing charity events during his recovery. ( next concert in Hamilton a benifit for the hospital). A class act all the way ; your the man Gord!

The CBC said you could hear more of the benifit concert on Monday during " Ontario Morning"?

Just a thought: I wonder if he finds inspiration in his song " Let It Ride ", The lyrics would definitely fit his situation.

jj Ronnie said fresh. Do you think that there might be a CD or video put out to raise more money? There would be money rolling in from the US and all over Canada for that.

I don't think I've heard Diamond Joe, is this a new song or one of Ronnie Hawkins?

I missed the highlights. sigh. I was sleeping. Maybe another time. I'm hoping to see some more footage elsewhere. It was all so amazing. His voice was beautiful.

well thankfully Susan and I were able to hear part of the concert live so we shared yet another marvellous internet experience.
We were blown away by the strength of his voice which must have blown the audience all the way to Whitby at least. Th solo
Let it ride was exquisite.
there is a great little video with quite a bit of Gord's IYCRMM at:- http://www.pulse24.com/Showbiz/Top_S...6-004/page.asp

regarding the very nice CTV video clip at:- http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNew...ub=TopStories#
yesterday I could only get the sound but no picture dammit. Today my computer decided to download the required codec
and I was able to get a small screenshot as he sang Let It Ride.

Ain't life grand!!!
