On Saturday when I was out and about I had 102.9 FM tuned in and I swore I heard them play this Christmas song by Gordon Lightfoot. I can't for the life of me remember the bloody song, it was a traditional Christmas song, now if THIS was Gordon Lightfoot first I have ever heard of it if itwasn't him, whoever it was has a voice that is eeriely similiar to Gord's voice from the 70's.

Is that a local (to you) station? If so, maybe you can call/email them and ask them to check their playlist for Saturday at the approximate time the song aired. If it's a nationally syndicated show you may be out of luck but if it's local programming they may be able to tell you.
I hate it that they never seem to announce song and singer/group before and after playing it like they used to back in the day.

Sorry, wrong spelling in my email. The program manager said it was Sarah McLachlan's version of Song for a Winter's Night.

Gord: Was it, by chance, Auld Lang Syne? G. L. has performed that song in concerts before and it may turn up on the radio, though I don't think it has ever been commercially recorded by Gordon. Because it is a Hamilton-based station, they may have a cut of the song somewhere in their archives from one of his concerts.
