Default Something interesting I've Noticed about CRT

In both versions Gordon slows the song down in the middle when he sings the verse "Behind The Blue Rockies the sun's declining."


Some other song I know have the same thing.


Crosby Stills & Nash Sweet Judy Blues Eyes

The Doors L.A. Woman.

Don't know if it was a mere coincidence or not.

that happens a few times in the song and then speeds up to give the effect of the train movement across the country thru the different geography..

it was meant to be that way when he wrote it.. i dont' think Lightfoot leaves anything to chance when he writes a tune..
