Default 1966 VIDEO FOOTAGE-CBC-SHOW OF THE WEEK - Tyson-Lightfoot

Folksinger-composer Ian Tyson hosts a variety showcase that is staged in front of a live audience, featuring Canada's young musical talent. The show's participants arrive via the cross-Canada bus from Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. Performers include Pat Hervey, the Willows, Robert Demontigny, Shawne Jackson, Patrician Annee McKinnon, Mark Pompe, Gillian Russell, Eddie Spencer, Ray St. Germain, the Soul Searchers, Maggie St. Clair, Natalie Butko, Ken Wicks and special guest fast-rising folk star Gordon Lightfoot. Highlights include - 'From This Moment On' (The Willows); 'Bluesette' (Mark Pompe who does a scat solo during his performance); 'I Can't Sit Down' (Shawn Jackson and The Willows); a country and western song called 'I'm A Nut' (Ray St. Germain); the Lennon/McCartney composition 'Norwegian Wood' (Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass, featuring a solo by Bernie Piltch); 'Here In The Evening' (Patrician Ann McKinnon); 'Ain't That A Groove' (Eddie Spencer); Sylvia Fricker's composition 'Gifts Are For Giving' and 'Lovin' Sound' (Ian Tyon); 'Hold Tight' (Ian Tyson and The Boss Brass); 'Honey On The Vine' (Pat Hervey); 'You Are My Sunshine' (Pat Hervey and Ian Tyson); 'Coffee Song' (Robert Deomontigny sings the French lyrics); 'Strangers and Lovers' (Gillian Russell); 'Spin, Spin' (Gordon Lightfoot); 'Mickie's Monkey' (cast). It's interesting to see cactus plants in the background considering this is Canada.

Anyway nice find.

I remember discovering the CBC archives and the full version of CRT which the last time I checked I only saw not even a minute of it.

Is it still the same?
