hey, this is much better than the rehearsal promo those amazon folks used previously...now if that solo could just be a tad (ok, a heap) more climatic, lol
mm, still awaiting those fun videos you spoke of...post links when you can
i got the answer to my earlier question about what inspired TK to pay tribute to GL...it was actually one of the musicians in the 'jam band' that put it in the suggestion box and TK was all for it...but TK says his grandma was into GL and EMR was an early fave

Keith put together a side project of Nashville session musicians to play blues-and-country covers in bars and nightclubs including at the Fillmore in New York City.
"We went to a rehearsal, and everybody kind of brought their favourite songs in and that Gordon Lightfoot song was on the list and I said, 'Absolutely, let's do that.'

you're right, mm...we all have different perceptions and to me this still sounds like what i hear when i walk into the town pub with some local droning out covers, but maybe that's the TK appeal for many: a down home sound plus that appealing between song banter you speak of (actually in toronto, he jokingly encouraged 2 of the gals in the front row to make out...maybe he's my cuppa after all, LOL)
but of the other recent country Sundown takes, i would put this ahead of keith urban's (even though, imo, he's the most talented) but behind Dwight's and Dodd's....we should have 'covers wars', lol (rm, could host it in Poll thread fashion)....man, it would take 50 rounds to narrow down the list of Sundown covers out there
nice find, char

btw, i think most of us saw the apologies you rightly received, post-dust-up
i agree, misty... Lightfoot forward, Corfid forward...
