Default Jessie Joe maybe in your stash...?? Cover Medley

Jessie Joe...

You've been doing such a great job blessing us with your treasure trove of videos relating to Gordon. I wonder if somewhere in your treasure chest you might have a copy of the 70's
Kenny Rogers and the First Edition Show Rolling on the River which became Rollin the second year. I know it was shot in Toronto and was an hour long in Canada -30 minutes in the states. On one of the shows the Kenny and the First edition did a great Lightfoot medley.
At one time I had it on cassette taped from the TV. but it's long gone now..
I don't know how many remember that show.

Thanks again for all the great video memories.

Kevin

No KHester I dont have any Kenny Rogers VHS/DVD or anything else for that matter.

But I do remember seeing a program where Kenny said something like...As far as poets are concern Gordie Lightfoot is a genius... And that is something I never forgot, but just about the only thing I remember of that show that was probably in the late 60's early 70's.

I really did like Kenny Rogers & The First Edition, Kenny playing Bass guitar & he had great music in those days compare to the Kenny who became a Country Artist... IMO !

Thanks Robby,

And you play all instruments on that cover of "Soflty" you did eh ! Like I told you on your YT page great job, good voice & I like the Bass part.

More to come hopefully !

You know I said this before but I can just imagine hearing Kenny Rogers singing "Never Say Trust Me."

Thanks again Jessie.
Yes i play all the instruments, as with all the songs that i write and record.
I'm really a guitarist and singer[in dire need of a real band].
I'm a pretty good lead guitarist and mandolin player, but by no means a virtuoso.
"Sometimes I Wish"!
Press on...

Jessie Joe
When i record my version of "never say trust me", i'll post the video.
I'll try to give it a john stockfish and red shea feel[with all respect to the great rick haynes and terry cements[mr. clements is great to drink with and hang with; very warm and optimistic...]
I'll never forget my time spent after the show, hangin with my favorite band!
