wordpad test
This test is to check what happens if I write a small text file using three features available in Windoze Wordpad and simply copy and paste it "as is" into a corfid forum thread
Firstly the "bullet point" listing format for two lines
Then a third with the colour red added. and finally a fourth line formatted with a 16 point version of one of the rarer fonts stored on my computer (Mondine)
point1
point2
point3
a color statement
mondine text
what I am keen to know is does everbody see the "Mondine" line in my intended font??
for comparison
here are two screenshots
The original as seen in Wordpad
what I can see now in the forum
You are no doubt thinking why I am asking this
The reason is that in common with all internet websites there is ostensibly only a limited range of fonts available for use here (as shown if you use the drop down list of fonts above the text entry box and that list certainly does not include my Mondine font. In general the internet works on the principle that fonts used on web pages must be limited to the few that are likely to be installed on ALL viewer's computers with the caveat that there is a small complication because those computers include MACs which have a different set of standard fonts.I can therefore fully understand why my computer's browser can find the Mondine font to display my sample bit of text because it is of course here on this computer for the asking, but what about other computers who are unlikely to have the Mondine font installed??
Hence my question.
