Dang You were so on the ball that you soundly beat me to it Deb!!
I came here especially to report on a chance viewing of Cold Case yesterday near the end of which we were most surprised to hear a familiar Canadian speculating on whether he could read our minds!
"chance" because we had decided with some misgivings (just who is Miss Givings anyway... apologies to Rolf Harris for stealing his line from his hilarious version of "Stairway To Heaven" there) to watch the CBS airing of a Hallmark film "Snow Wonder"
"misgivings" because one of the reminders of that sad day back in 2001 was seeing the antenna used for television transmission to this part of New Jersey being used as an impromptu flag pole

after it along with its twin tower support was cruelly felled by religious zealots
Indeed for most of that fateful day we had to rely for the breaking news on NBC as that station had an independant antenna on its own building (the Rockefeller Center).
Although the other stations soon made new arrangements for us at least CBS New York retains poor to atrocious reception, although strangely last Monday's Johnny Cash tribute came through quite well.
So promptly at 9pm EST we turned on New York Channel 2 only to find that due to an overrun of an earlier (and obviously of prime importance} sporting event the previous program "Cold Case" was still only half way through
John Fowles
the obvious lyric quote is by Hamilton Camp:-
It shall cause thy towers to fall and make it be a pyre of flame
Oh God the pride of man broken in the dust again
