i think the UA vynl LP i mentioned my parents have was the 1974 very best of release. though i just checked the albums section here and BDIJ isn't on that 1 and the LP they have has it. of course as i mentioned the cover is green and the very best of collextion has a different album cover. i wonder if hear in the US some of the LPs had different covers than in Canada? i've heard of that happening sometimes.

Its no wonder that you are confused or uncertain here Mike since United Artists in their infinite desire to milk the potential of the first five albums regurgitated a plethora of "Best Of" compilations and at least one "The Very Best Of"
So the colour of the one you are referrring to may be by no means unique.
Just keep an ehe on the ebay list as they very often appear there

I may be wrong about the number but I think,including the UA Collection CD's,United Atrists has re-released his stuff up to about 7 or 8 times!

Especially everytime he had even a "little" bit of top 40 success with his WB albums,like IYCRMM,Sundown,Cold On The Shoulder and Summertime Dream.

It's a really pathetic thing that record labels do to make $$$ off the artists that move to other labels.

a follow up. last night 1 was looking at the Lighfoot UA best of LP that 1 mentioned and though it says 1974, it must of been a re-release of the 1970 best of collection because looking at the list of songs on there it has most of the same songs except the 1 i have has Affair on 8th Ave. on it.
