Don Ketchum, a reporter for the Arizona Republic, and a Lightfoot fan of many years (decades) wrote a review which I have posted on my web site at gordonlightfoot.com. The link to the review is the first item under Latest Additions ("Concert Review Phoenix").

A wonderful review from Don Ketchum. You have a great looking, and informative, growing web site Val. Alway's a pleasure to go in there, and snoop around... Many thank's.

Yes Char, you and I and a bunch of other people are always happy to know that he's doing SDYS. I told Don that he quoted my favorite Lightfoot quote (which it is).
And thanks, JJ, for your kind words about my web site. Actually, I started the site back in May, 1998. I took it down for a year and a half, but finally brought it back and have been having fun with it again. If you poke back in the Article Archive, to April, 2002, you'll see that I even got to interview Gord!

Well I just finish reading the entire interview...
Congratulations Val, very good interview. You are a lucky Lighthead. :D
I enjoyed the guitar talk, he really likes the Shubb Capo. So I will never get rid of mine. :D
It is indeed a great capo. How's your guitar playing, coming along?
He, like myself, doesn't like the # 13. He had mentioned it on his radio interview with Fan 590. And he told you that a CD these days, you have to put 12 to 14 songs...
Anyway thanks again Val, and keep up the good work that you do on your Web site. ~Jesse~

Yeah, Val. How's the guitar playing coming along? Have you taken the D19GL out of the case lately? Hey, it's really BAD to not play a guitar as nice as that one. If you need to find a good home for it, I can make a couple of suggestions... Cathy Cowette's house and Cathy Cowette's house.

It's still a D18GL, last I looked. And no, I haven't taken it out in a long time, but I do open the case periodically to re-wet the sponges. Last time I did that, I thought I should really make some time to play it. But, as always, there just isn't any time. I'm still hoping. Maybe soon ...

I finally put new strings on the D-15. It was sounding pretty bad. The strings were over a year old! I remember when I used to change them every 3 months!

Well,as stated,I just printed out the review of last Sunday's show. Thanks again Val for putting that up there.
I don't really buy the Arizona Republic paper, except for the classifieds anymore.
I pretty much figured, also,if TV-News wasn't interested enough to cover it,then that paper wuldn't say anything either. So,I would have not seen that review at all. Thanks a million!! :D

The review was not in the paper. Don wrote it for me. He's actually a sportswriter, but has covered Lightfoot shows in the past for The Arizona Republic and others. So, when he went to the concert, he just decided he would enjoy reviewing it.
