Some part of me wondered how I'd react when and if this type of news ever happened about Gord. I have witnessed many famous celebrities get seriously ill and die in my short life, however as I have had the opportunity to meet him 3 times, get his autograph and my pic taken with him, plus meeting his band hearing this just sent a shiver right down my spine.
Just popped in a few discs in the player and some of his tunes are really hitting home at this moment.
I guess we all like to think of Gord as totally invincible, guess this just proves he is no different than you and I. He had a bad cold when he played here last August, so I know he wouldn't cancel a concert unless he was flat on his back.
Anyway here's hoping that by morning more info is made available.
