Whilst listening to BBC Radio 2 yesterday afternoon (12th Feb) 'Steve Wright, in the afternoon' had his usual 'Big Quiz' where 2 contestants answer questions (logical) He had a Canadian lady on, Steve asked her to name 5 famous Canadians. She couldn't. Steve, who has mentioned Gordon on more than one occasion, managed to tease Gordon Lighfoot out of her, I just could not believe that she did not name Gordon immediatly.
PS Sarah Kennedy played Sundown, during her early morning show, same day.

No, she did not name William Shatner at all. As I recall she named Shania Twain & Bryan Adams, after Steve got her to name GL she named Anne Murrey. I think that was about it.
Oddly enough, one of the quiz questions was, "Name the Canadian actor who achieved world wide fame playing the part of Ben Cartwright in the TV series Bonanza". She was unable to do so.

How is it possible that a Canadian cannot name five famous Canadians? I'm an American and could do so with my tongue tied.

Shoot, I can name more than five famous Canadians myself!
1. Gordon Lightfoot
2. Anne Murray
3. Shania Twain
4. Michael J. Fox
5. Lloyd Eisler
6. His skating partner, Isabelle Brassuer (If I spelled it right?)
7. Alex Trebek
8. The Wilkinson kids, Amanda and Tyler
9. Paul Brandt
10. Michelle Wright (obviously I'm really into Canadian country music)
Can I stop now?

Ahhh, Rob? I don't think Neil, Burton, Randy, James or Paul will fit her physiological test as her 2nd favorite female Canadian singer. However, Loreena and Genevieve are, at least, the correct sex.
