That fellow has a good sense of humor. I agree that it's crazy to make record stores pay when they play the albums they're trying to sell for the artists' benefit. I mentioned in a previous post that hearing the album IYCRMM played in a store led to my first purchase of Gord's stuff. Nearly 30 purchases (vinyl, CDs and one cassette) of Gord's stuff are traceable, in part, to hearing that album in the store.

Making sure that artists get paid is important. But a little sample can whet the appetite.
